I’m an Ottawa mom of two kids. I work part-time and parent full-time while my spouse works bananas hours. And we’re the lucky ones—both still employed with understanding and flexible employers.
But we’re exhausted. This “plan” makes me want to cry.
It is such a failure of leadership.
If I know anything, it’s that working parents get sh!t done. So let’s make this happen. There must be a way to make full-time school happen safely—we just need the political will.
